Entropic Allotments

Teamwork, Construction, Volunteering

I had the opportunity of working directly with architects and designers to build a bespoke architecturally designed greenhouse and shed for a local community project, housed at Walton Community Allotments. After completing the build, we designed and fitted out the internal fixtures of each structure in consultation with the clients requirements and needs.

For 10 days in August 2021 a group of architects, designers and I worked on constructing a greenhouse shed hybrid for a local community allotments. We started off working in Kingston University workshop to fabricate the fixtures and structure and tested the system was strong enough to stand and sustain tools and produce.

After 3-4 days of the workshop we transported the fixtures and structure to site and began to assemble the pieces.

8 Month Update

03-04-2022

8 months post construction the structure is holding up quite beautifully withstanding the recent storms we have been experiencing. Lots of new potted plants starting their life and lots of storage spaces being used up.
