We had the privilege of working alongside Ben Kelly to create a hybrid archive space for Ben Kelly Designs lifetime of work. The goal for this project was to design a BARchive for Ben Kelly Design: a hybridspace between an archive and a bar in the Kingston University Townhouse. We wanted to create a space that both stored and showcased Ben Kellys lifetime of work, as well as incorporating spaces that can be utilised for a heightened student experience.

Ben Kelly is one of the UK’s most influential designers. He has directed successful and innovative projects across the UK, Europe and Asia. He is best known for his interior design of the nightclub, The Haçienda in Manchester.He has been extensively awarded for exhibition design, record cover design and interiors.BKD was established by Ben Kelly, Ben Kelly Design (BKD) is one of the UK’s most respected interior design practices. Clients include The Design Museum, Gym Box, Halfords, BBC, Alex Eagle, and many more.
